As part of Belmont’s heritage of racial reconciliation, the Racial Justice Network is offering a gathering via zoom on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. This Network brings people together to discuss racial justice concerns and the current issues of the day regarding racism and opportunities on how we can make a difference in this area. The Racial Justice Network in partnership with the Cornelius Corp https://corneliuscorps.org/ will be offering a conference titled: “A Journey to Healing”. This will be held on March 1, 2025 at Belmont UMC and will offer a time for worship, learning, conversation and sharing in the area of racial justice and cross-racial relationships. A flyer for this event is below. Also, the Cornelius Corp will also be offering a four week session by zoom titled: “Crossing Over: The legacy of 1965 for 2025. This will begin on March 18th.
