Our worship service for February 7th focused on serving and prayer. The message came from Mark 1:29-39 where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law as she suffered from a fever. She immediately got up and started serving. The text challenges us to serve as a response to what Jesus has done in our lives. Rev. For January 31st we come to worship remembering that Jesus is the answer to all of lives problems and challenges. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews will offer a message taken from Mark 1:21-28. For January 24th, the message will encourage us to see where we are at in our faith. The scripture passages are Jonah 3:1-5, 10 and Mark 1: 14-20. We will explore the story of Jonah and see how we at times are like him. Jesus then invites us to follow him to the abundant life, a relationship that is life changing and life giving. Rev. For the message for January 17th, we will be speaking from John 1:43-51 where Philip has a conversation with Nathaniel. Nathaniel asks, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip answers, “Come and See”. The service will invite us to come and see what Jesus has for each one of us. Rev. On January 10th, we will be remembering our baptism. We will remembering not only our baptism but the baptism of Jesus as found in Mark 1:4-11.
