For the February 13th message, Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews preached from the sermon on the plain found in Luke 6:17-26. Jesus speaks to the people and to us proclaiming how blessed we are when we commit our lives to him. Our circumstances and difficulties in life will be overcome when we know how blessed we are as Jesus promises to be with us all the time. Dr. Michael Ross led the choir in music.

The message today focused on the love that God has for each one of us. We are challenged to love each other just as God has loved us. Rev. The message today challenged us to follow Jesus in offering the good news of Jesus Christ to all those that God places in our lives. The scripture was Luke 4:14-21 where Jesus shares the mission that he has been given to preach the good news to the poor. The poor are all those who are in need of God which includes us all. Rev. On this day we remember the baptism of Jesus as he was launched out into his world changing ministry. The message came from Luke 3: 15-17, 21-22 and was offered by Rev. Larry Cochran. On this first Sunday of 2022, we explored the importance of belief. Liam Fairfax challenged us to look at life through the lens of faith as we enter this year. Liam preached from Mark 11. We also recommitted ourselves to God through the Wesley Covenant Service. Dr. Michael Ross led our choir. This service can be seen on this website or on our Facebook page.
On the day after Christmas we gathered for our lessons and carols service. During this service Rev. Larry Cochran and Rev. Gwen Andrews read lessons which were scriptures highlighting the story of Christ being born. While Christmas is now behind us, we still need to be reminded of the miracle of Christ being born. Amen.
The service tonight celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ. We looked at the experience of the shepherds as they went to see the baby Jesus. They immediately went and shared with everyone the good news of Jesus Christ. Rev. Larry Cochran offered the message while MaryKaye Cochran sang special music- “Sleep Holy Child”.
