On January 26th, the worship service focused on Jesus words in Luke 4 where he proclaimed what his mission was to be: to bring the good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners, recovery sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message and Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
On January 19 Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message from John 2, the story of Jesus changing water into wine. The message pointed us to how this story makes a difference in our lives today. Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
On January 12th, Rev. Autumn Merrill offered the message from Luke 3: 15-22. The service focused on Jesus’ baptism and what it means for us in our faith journey. In the midst of the baptism, God said, “You are my son, whom I dearly love; in you I find happiness”. The message here is for all of us.
The worship service for the first Sunday in 2025 focused on the magi who brought gifts to the baby Jesus and worshipped him. The Wesley Covenant Service was an integral part of worship. Rev. On this last Sunday of 2024, the worship service focused on the story of Jesus when he was 12 years old. He remained in Jerusalem after the Passover feast while Mary and Joseph traveled to Nazareth.
