On this Good Friday, the church offered the Tenebrae service where the Passion of Christ was shared through 16 readings. Dr. Michael Ross led the church in music. MaryKaye Cochran offered a solo titled, “The Lamb of God.”

Liam Fairfax offered the message for our Maundy Thursday service. The message was titled “What is Love?’ which was based on Jesus message at the Passover meal the night before he was crucified. The service can be seen here and on our Facebook Live site.
On this Palm Sunday, we began the week with our annual Easter Cantata. This musical event remembered the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and what that means for all of us. David Barden, Kay Nicholas and MaryKaye Cochran offered solos. Fred Boswell and Ann Henderson did a rendition of “The Old Rugged Cross” on the tenor sax and oboe. Jesus has an encounter with Nicodemus when he makes the declaration that is the core of the Good News, “For God so loved the world, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but will have eternal life.” The message challenges us to walk in the light of Christ so that we can be a light to the world.
