Good Trouble Conference, Belmont UMC, 3510 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23234. Sat. Feb. 25, 9:00am-4:00pm. The conference will focus on the “good trouble” that late Representative John Lewis spoke of, as well as Micah 6:8. The conference will be an opportunity for church and community conversation on race and reconciliation and will include speakers, small group discussions, lunch, and worship.
Rev. Dr. Peter Moon, Senior Pastor at Reveille UMC (Richmond) and former Richmond District Superintendent, will serve as the moderator and facilitator for the day’s activities.
Rev. Dr. Clarence Brown, consultant, coach, mentor, and retired UMC elder, will share a message on “Good Trouble in Our Churches and Communities”.
Rev. Dr. Milton Hathaway, former Senior Pastor of Union Hope Baptist Church (Hopewell) and Historic Second Liberty Baptist Church (New Kent), will share a message on “The Beloved Community.”
Rev. Autumn Merrill, youth pastor at First Baptist Church (Richmond) and instructor for Atlantic Outreach Group (Richmond), will share the closing worship message. Music will be led by Dr. Michael Ross.
